"Less than one star. How long does it take to check out a customer? Three parties in front of me and it’s gonna be an hour in line at the rate we’re going. I write this as I’m standing in line. Renting cars is always a hassle, but this is ridiculous. It would be one thing if the employees were friendly and said “hi, sorry about the wait” but instead it was just “you’re just gonna have to wait” when another very patient customer inquired what was taking so long."

"Brian was very nice, professional, helpful and organized. He was able to accommodate me when the lady at Salem location left me stranded. The location it's is also nicer, cleaner and more professional. I definitely recommend coming to this location if you plan to rent from the area."

"I just looked over my receipt from my car rental from here from last week. I was charged $26.99 per day (3 days) for extra damage protection that I clearly verbally declined when asked if I wanted it. I called to inquire about it and they insisted I added it. I have never ever opted in when I have rented from Hertz. And they conveniently “can’t do anything about it.” I also was not given a vehicle with a full tank or gas or that was properly cleaned. It also had a broken center console that would pop open every 30-60 seconds. I had to drive with my elbow holding it down the entire time. If I wasn’t in a rush, I would’ve turned right back around and asked for it to be fixed, but I didn’t have time. But ultimately, I want my $26.99 per day credited back to me. I truly feel a bit scammed over this."

I have had business with Brian, and he was exceptionally attentive to my needs. Definitively, I recommend this site to anyone in need of a rental."

"The employees at this location completely saved my butt over the summer. I had driven my own car to Massachusetts from Virginia the previous day for a family reunion, and then in broke down after five minutes of driving the next day. I dropped my car off at a shop around the corner from Hertz, then took a quick Uber there. This was at the end of July, and I didn't have a reservation. The staff initially told me they had no car. I quickly told them my sob story, so one of the desk staff went to the back to talk to the manager. They hooked me up with a Tesla, not sure if there had been other plans for it, but I was so grateful to have it. The price honestly wasn't bad, either. Staff was super friendly, and they totally saved my trip."
