Budget Car Rental 595 Pond Street, Braintree, MA 02184

"Today I experienced some of the worst customer service, and lack of any compassion in my life. After flying to Providence from Florida for our granddaughter’s birthday, we picked up our Budget car rental and headed out for our daughter’s just outside of Boston. . Halfway there our rental’s front end began shaking severely at speeds above 50 mph (we were in a 65 mph zone). We contacted Budget, and after enduring their aggravating maze of voice commands, we were finally connected to a human being. He instructed us to drive to the nearest Budget, which was in Braintree, and he assured us that a replacement was available and waiting upon our arrival. Though 10 miles out of the way from our granddaughter’s birthday party, we had no other option. We were relieved to arrive in one piece without a blowout, and happy that we’d finally be headed to our daughter’s, albeit an hour late. But no, things only got worse. When we explained our plight to the woman on duty, Lucio Melo, she could have cared less and informed us that she had no cars available, despite 2 being returned while we were there! She insisted that we would have to drive our rental to their facility at Logan airport in a car that was totally unsafe to drive!! A call to her manager resulted in the same insensitive response, and he told us that yes there were cars on the lot, but they were reserved for the next day! His priority was clearly making a buck on his rentals, over forcing us to drive a car unsafe to drive! In the end, Budget’s road side service towed the vehicle, and we’re Ubering back to Providence for a replacement vehicle. Budget needs to do some serious work on their vehicle quality control, and especially on their customer service."

"Was upgraded to a larger vehicle. I'm sure that would have pleased many renters, but wasn't best for me. Otherwise, the vehicle and service were very good and reasonably priced."

"Had an issue and had to drive across country last minute. They got me a car and was on the road immediately. The price and how easy it was to rent was amazing. I didn't get charged any mileage which saved me hundreds. Will suggest budget to everyone now."

"I arrived at 12 o’clock. It was two people ahead of me so I waited about 40 minutes and then I gave her my credit card and my ID she tell me I can’t rent a car because they messed it up on my credit like I’ve never heard of basing a Rent-A-Car on a credit when I go to Enterprise I don’t have no problem and I ask her was budget the same way, so apparently budget and Avis ones your credit OK so I had to call me a Uber to go all the way home I was really disappointed they should’ve told me this over the phone"
