"This review is meant to warn others, buyers and sellers alike, of what it is like to work with Pauline Jordan, a realtor with Coldwell Bankers. To summarize, what should have been a civilized process of buying our first home ended up being a nightmare. So much so that my husband and I will steer clear of any property that she is involved with. And we hesitate to look at properties associated with Coldwell Bankers if this is how their agents behave. For starters, she scheduled an open house that she did not show up to. When we tracked her down via her cell phone, she told us to "look in the windows" and get our own agent to help us if we wanted to see the home. She then hounded our agent until we submitted an offer. The offer was promptly rejected, so we submitted a counter. She then ignored our agent and was unresponsive for FOUR days. When finally reached, her explanation was that she did not like our counter. We loved the home, so we put in a 3rd offer, this time working with her own team. This turned out to be even worse. She pushed and hounded that our offer had to come in immediately, suggesting that we would get the home before others did, only to then draw the process out--giving us a new demand to satisfy each day. The worst was that wanted a second pre-approval letter to “reassure” her—and it had to be with the finance guy that she works with. It turns out, though, that the man who ran through our financial information, the one Pauline said we had to use, ended up discussing us with Pauline. They had a conversation behind our own agent's back about our case. We were then informed via email from this guy that they “liked us” and would be countering. To us, it looked like Pauline had pushed us to work with him so that she could get the details of our financial position in order to know just how far she could continue to push us. The fact that he knew before our own realtor that we would be getting a counter was shocking. In the end, apparently “they” liked all of us—yes ALL. This entire time Pauline had been dragging out the process, telling us we needed more things each day, all of these things were “holding up” our offer from being accepted. If only we got one more thing, we would be okay. Meanwhile, it seems that she racked up multiple offers from potential buyers. And ALL of us received the same counter offer. By this time, 3 offers later, my husband and I were done. And we will never pursue any property she is involved with again."
