"We have been a part of this school since 2017. My daughter started in the kindergarten class and still loves going! The school does a great job of incorporating Japanese culture activities throughout the year and my daughter has learned so much through the curriculum! Its also a very close community of parent volunteers who are really striving toward making this school the best it can be year after year. We’ve made so many friends and look forward to a all the fun crafts, events and activities the school provides!"

"My kids went here. With improved curriculum and guidance from CSULB professors since the Orange Coast Gakuen went independent in 2010, this is an amazing place for learning Japanese language and culture. Students are happy to come because learning is so fun. I wish I went to a school like this when I was growing up instead of the rote memory style learning I had at J school. It feels more like family here too. Love the close school Community this place has. Kids learn with a lot of hands on stuff like cooking, science experiments, cultural arts, & more. Recommended."
