Jeanne Hardy Head Start

Jeanne Hardy Head Start is a school located at 17175 Emerald Lane in Huntington Beach, California. We offer programs for pregnant women, children ages 0-3 and 3-5. Our teachers are all college educated and credentialed to work in California. We provide a range of services for families, including education, health screening, nutrition, family support, and training.

Orange County Start Inc. (OCHS) was established in 1979 as a non-profit agency funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Each year, OCHS serves over 3,000 pregnant mothers, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families throughout Orange County, including those in high-risk circumstances.

Our programs are free for families who qualify, as we are funded by the federal government. We provide over $15,000 worth of services per child and family. The application process is easy to start online.

Many families have expressed gratitude for the support and opportunities provided by OCHS. Parents have seen their children thrive academically and socially after participating in our programs. OCHS is committed to keeping families thriving at school, at home, and at work.

We continue to receive positive feedback from families who have benefited from our services. Many have even taken on leadership roles within the program.
