"Lou has replaced our super old and obsolete AC which stopped working. Lou explained all options and alternatives to me, and since there were multiple problems with the AC (leaks, bad piping, obsolete refrigerant (which leaked out anyway), bad SEER rating, poor efficiency) the best option was to fully replace the unit. I was impressed with the quality of work and a very thoughtful and methodical approach to troubleshooting the old and then testing the new system. Lou also went an extra mile and: - installed a special piece of metal to let the air flow more efficiently to the second floor (which previously never got enough cold air) - fixed air leaks around the filter and the coils - fixed the pipe insulation - replaced the filter and provided a few spares - cleaned up everything Lou is very a honest, competent, skilled, experienced professional. And simply a great human being. Now we are fully ready for a hot summer :)"

"Our furnace broke and we were left with only wood stove heat. Lou made time in his schedule to come right away. Even though the unit was shot, he tried his best to fix it on the spot and then we ordered a new furnace. He was booked solid but worked his schedule so that he could install it as soon as possible, since we have young children and didn’t want them cold. The crawl space was very constricted but Lou modified things to improve the furnace location and did an absolutely fantastic job. Very knowledgeable, personable, quick and reasonably priced. Best HVAC contractor we’ve ever met and he’s earned our business for as long as he owns his! Cannot highly enough recommend!"

"Lou is amazing! When I was told by another service provider that I had to replace my 20 year old furnace, I asked A Breath of Fresh Air for a second option. Lou made time to come quickly since we had gone two weeks in a July heat wave without our heat pump working. Lou took a look at my situation and told me that the fan of my furnace (which pushed the cool or warm air from the heat pump through the house) could be replaced for a fraction of the price of replacement. When I asked him if he would replace the furnace or replace the fan if it were his furnace, he said he would simply replace the fan. That is what I requested. Lou tracked down the part and replaced it on the spot. I am extremely grateful. After repairing my furnace in July, Lou and his team came back in the fall for annual maintenance on my heat pump and furnace. My heat pump was giving a weird smell. Lou found the problem in my old furnace and cleaned it up so the smell was gone. My heat pump and my old furnace are working great...the NW Natural inspector said the furnace looks great! A Breath of Fresh Air is the best and I will continue to use their services and recommend them to others."
