"Park on Palm and C Street was not bad, for a small neighborhood. It was a little green, shady oasis from the concrete world of cars and noise. Now it has been ruined by men with saws and machines who know nothing about pine trees, shade trees, peace and quiet, nature, privacy, serenity. The park has been laid bare so all can see all of the cars, the pavement and there is no oasis any more. The shade trees will grow back in, but not the big magnificent pines. They took years to mature to lovely big evergreens that sounded beautiful in the breeze. In one day they were shaved to half their size. To accomplish what? Have any of the men who did this been to Yosemite, or any green pine forrest? They don't mow lovely trees like in Mammoth, Yellow Stone, Arrowhead..... If you want a strip mall look- go to a strip mall.! This was a park! The bees you disturbed are gone. Bee hives- gone. Squirrels nests- gone. Hawks nests- gone. Not many, but it's a small neighborhood, and this was our little oasis."
