"Here you can find a swing attached to the remains of an old pier: it can be reached only with low tide and you have to go down a steep cliff with the help of a rope, so a decent level of fitness is required. It is also likely that the seat of the swing is wet so it's better to use a bathing suit to ride it."
"Very scenic spot and you can walk around on the top. To go down u need good hiking shoes since it is very steep."
"Defnitely worth the climb. It was a little steep but doable. My 12 year old didn't have a problem going down or up the side of the cliff. The rope that is already there helped a quite a bit in some parts. The swing is gone! But the waterfall was flowing and looked beautiful!"
"I love the ocean, and Davenport Beach is beautiful! We had a great time exploring the beach. Do recommend taking the right boots and clothing for this adventure and a camera for pictures!"
"Lucky to go on a clear warm day. It was our 1st time and we had a good time. You do have to climb down a very steep, rocky path in order to get to the beach and the pier with the swing. Even on a Saturday, it wasn't very crowded - Not like other beaches. We had no problem finding parking, but it was full by the time we left which was after sunset. There were plenty of spots to take pictures - the railroad tracks, the clove of trees overlooking the cove, the cliff overlooking the cove, the pier with the swing, the waterfall down the beach, an alcove with graffiti, and a spot with black rocks. We stayed to enjoy the beautiful sunset, and there were others with hammocks and picnic baskets who were there to watch the pretty sunset also. I recommend Davenport Pier but make sure you go on a nice clear warm day."
