"I usually gas up at the Renner in Ferndale and use my debit card every time. Yesterday I was returning a truck I rented in Eureka and had to replace the gas. I had seen a Renner on the way to get the truck and planned to fill it up there. When I slid my card, it told me to slide my Renner card then cancelled the transaction. I tried my credit card with the same results. The streets around the station were all one ways and after 3 days of hassles I just said I would pay their price. Luckily I had put over the amount it had in it that morning, but after an unexpected errand, I thought I needed more. I got lucky and that little bit extra covered it. I think all Tenners should have the same S.O.P.'s. Either take debits at all or none. It that had been an emergency, I would have been in big trouble."
