"The worst - if I could give 0 stars, I would. I rented from this place from time to time, agents were always very unfriendly. Several times they didn’t have a car for me even if I had a reservation. This time, again no car was available in the morning, so I have been told to come back at 1 pm after their lunch break. And again, a very unfriendly agent. I returned at 1 pm, another agent finally turned up at 1.30pm. I got a car and asked if I could return the car late in the evening when the agency is closed. He told me to just put the keys in the key box. So I did. I refueled the car, and put the keys in the key box at about 10pm the same day. Was I surprised to find a fuel charge of 23 $ on my final receipt. I contacted customer service, sent them the receipt and guess what happened? They accused me of lying and even of fraud, saying the fuel receipt does not indicate I refueled the car. I really don’t know what to say to this. I’m a Hertz Gold member, and I have never been treated so bad. I feel deeply humiliated. And even though this Hertz location is very convenient for me, I will never rent from them again. At LAX airport, there are many agencies to choose from. Stay away from this location!!!"
"A lot of great cars to choose from with excellent service. Especially from Dave, what a great guy. A pure heart kinded person who went out of his way just to help us with the car rental, since we were having trouble with our creditcard. Thank you very much for you troubles Dave and God bless."
"I reserved the car through the app. It was ready when I arrived. The check in process could not be started until the designated pick up time, but it went smoothly. I have used the location before, and the staff have always been patient and courteous, giving each customer their full attention. Upon returning, follow the signs to the parking stalls, drop the keys off without waiting in line and the receipt is emailed to you."
"***DON'T SKIP THIS REVIEW*** Despite the polite demeanor of the customer service representative, my experience was riddled with shortcomings. Upon arrival, I found only one representative available, resulting in a 35-40 minute wait as the fourth customer in line after opening. While I understand staffing challenges, such extended waits are frustrating. Once at the desk, the transaction itself took a mere six minutes. However, upon completion, the customer service rep needed to get the car from the parking garage across the way. In order to go get the car, the customer service rep had to leave the desk and go the parking garage. He do so with no explanation to the 5-6 customers behind me in line. Rightfully so, they looked perplexed. Despite my inquiry about the meeting point, the instruction was vague, leaving me waiting outside the hotel. After approximately seven minutes, the representative returned with the keys, offering no communication or vehicle walk-through. He literally did not say a word. He instead hurried back inside the hotel to help the customers he left behind. Furthermore, I received a letter ten days after returning the car, erroneously stating it was overdue. This experience, coupled with the lack of attention to detail, assures that it will be my first and last encounter with Hertz. I cannot recommend this location, and I hope this review prompts others to explore alternative rental options. Keep in mind, in 2022 Hertz paid $168 million to innocent customers who were accused of stealing or not returning vehicles. While I'm not one of those customers, I think it's best to avoid Hertz altogether. Respectfully, Amber"
"They were so friendly at the counter...... I reserved a Mid-Size SUV at this Hertz location as we were staying in the hotel, the price for the SUV listed on the Hertz website was US$55+... w/o insurance or add on.... When at the counter, the staff apologized that they don't have the SUV available, he told us that since we're Airline Staff and their regular supporters, he'll do his best to get us something. He took out the key of a Mustang Convertible and told us that we can have it to enjoy the California sun. We were happy that the staff was so kind to us. He went on to brief us on the insurance coverage and we took the full package. We took the car & head out for lunch at Venice beach. I received the email from Hertz on the rental agreement contract and after reading through it, we were shocked that there was a US$75 for a vehicle upgrade on top of the listed SUV rental price. What is this? Why he never ask for our permission or if we're OK for this additional 'Upgrade Charge'??? We felt so cheated on this as we trusted him and thinking that he was such a nice staff that gave us a better car for the same price. Is Hertz going on with this kinda scamming to their customers if they didn't read the mini fine prints that needs magnification to read?? Come on!!! This is totally not acceptable!! We return to the counter the next day to confront the staff and to return the car. He have no choice but to remove the US$75 charge on the contract. To the rest who read this, please beware what is on your rental contract!!!!!"
