"Very friendly fellowship , all the women I have met are great too ! I ask many questions and they are all answered to the depth I am exploring .. I don’t hear well so they are gracious to help me stay on the correct pages / readings and have no issue translating Hebrew for me . I am so happy here to be learning , and glorifying our creator"
"Only attended once so not sure I can leave a fair rating. I was shadowing the area while considering a job in Southwest Florida. While I ended up attending a different Chabad ultimately going forward, Rabbi Minkowicz could not not have been more welcoming to my parents and I as visitors and allowed us to eat a Shabbat meal at no extra cost even though we were not members. Not a lot of younger congregants and not many young people as a whole in this part of Florida makes it a bit more challenging to make friends. However, based off my one experience, I would recommend to any older Jews in the area."
"What a beautiful community… Very warm, welcoming and genuine people. Their actions match their words. Thank you!"
"We have been in Fort Myers for 7 years, but usually for the High Holidays I go back up to Pennsylvania. This is the first year I am here. I have been taking classes through chabad for almost 2 years. Tanya classes, courses through JLI and Chabad U. So this year I thought, why not check and see if there is a Chabad in the area? A few months ago I realized there is a chabad right down the street from me! I finally had the courage to go alone for my bubbe’s yahrzeit on the Thursday before Rosh Hashanah- 3 days before Rosh Hashanah- the rabbi was very nice and welcoming. I came back for Shabbat morning service on the last Shabbat of the year before Rosh Hashanah. What a beautiful service! The rabbi is wonderful. The Chazzan is wonderful ! And the congregation is warm and welcoming. I stayed for Kiddush - and wow!! What a meal! They have a lot of sinks with the natalas (hand washing cup) for anyone who wishes to do the ritual hand washing before we eat. It makes it very fast it’s really lovely. The challah is incredible!! I need to ask for the recipe because I’m always looking to try new recipes and this one was so moist and delicious!!! And warm like it was just baked! The meal - yum!!!! So much delicious food! I never have been to a shul like this. Not with food like this - it’s like eating at home!! But joining together with a chabad family. It’s wonderful! I felt strange coming alone at first , but my shyness began to melt away with a wonderful family who invited me to sit with them and before long I felt like I was home. Anyone who’s looking for a shul to call home, come on over!!! I hope to see you there!!!!"
"Chanukah Cruise is Dec. 2, 2018. Terrific food, family fun, and special lighting of the Menorah. This annual event is a terrific get away to enjoy the scenic Gulf of Mexico and celebrate Chanukah."
