"We are in Ft. Meyers for the month. I was excited to see that this church had a pipe organ. (I'm a career minister of music.) We attended and found a beautiful church. The people were not very friendly. No one welcomed us. After the service I walked up to the music director and told him it was enjoyable. He barely acknowledged me, didn't ask my name, didn't smile. I introduced myself and tried to be friendly and start a conversation but he wasn't having it. If I had been a person looking for Jesus, or for a church home I would have kept going. It's unfortunate that we have churches the profess to know the love and joy of God, sing about it, talk about it and read about it. But when it comes to gatherings, a lot of our churches are like exclusive clubs. This church felt like that. It makes me sad (and angry) and I'm sure it grieves the heart of God."
"love father charles beautiful place to worship and find God and peace"
"I love St. Hilary's Episcopal Church. It is the most welcoming church I have ever attended. From the moment I walked into the church, greeted by Linda and the "other Golden Girls" to the end of the service when Father Charles welcomed me and invited me to return my experience was spiritually uplifting."
"Great Easter Egg Hunt. Active Youth Group."
"An enviting looking church with not so enviting members. Keyword is: exclusion. Went for their Christmas service and felt throughly unwelcome. Part of the Christmas sermon was spent putting down other religions. Not cool."
