"Stay far far away!! My realtor was Josh Deason and the process has been a nightmare that I hope this review can help others. I found a house in the pcola area and really was excited. Josh and his team made everything seem so easy and anytime I had an issue it was magically solved. A year later I'm still dealing with issues!! When I asked about the foundation issue I was told by Josh his handy man can fix it for $7K. Of course I called around bc before I spend that I'm going to ask professionals it turned out to be over $12k job ruining my floors in the meantime. (Not fault to the foundation company but bc of the joists that the inspector pointed out that josh said wasnt a big deal, it was). Next the roof was so badly sagging in both the front (causing sagging on my front porch with wood deterioration) and back (causing pressure to a glass sliding door that eventually just stopped opening and windows) I had to spend another large amount of money and still not done bc i ran out of money so i had to do what i could. Again Josh made this seem like it was no big issue. Getting "his guy" to come out and give me a $7k bandaid quote which was a joke. The mortgage company then assessed my house at the sale rate after Sally which was 72K and I paid over 200K for my house so the latest saga is I'm having to deal with a mortgage that went from 1500 to 2k. It's ppl like Josh and his team from the inspectors to the financial advisors that make this one of the worse experiences of my life. My savings is depleted probably going to have to sell sooner then I wanted bc of all this. It has been a horrible nightmare and Josh has not offered any true help. Once he got my sale it was like nothing and what's funny is that the commission wasn't even a ton of money. At the end of the day this wasn't worth it and I regret working with Josh to this day! Save yourself and do FSBO or find someone that you really trust!!"

"I’m a military spouse, with a one year old daughter. We were making our first PCS love to here to Pensacola and we’re really being given the run around on trying to find a rental not being taken advantage of. It’s really hard moving but then moving to somewhere you’ve never been is even harder. That’s when Denise with Gulf Real estate took over. She really “held our hands” through the whole process and taking care of everything for us so moving in was so simple. She answered my 57678 questions without ever getting annoyed or frustrated. Since moving in, we moved into a home that had just had some upgrades basically moving in as soon as they were done. So naturally a few things popped up when we moved in. Expressed our concerns and within 24 hours all of our concerns are not only being addressed but fixed. I’ve worked in property management in North Carolina I understand how frustrating it can be to get repairs done but they’ve been on it and all their vendors are professional and punctual. Being a military family I highly recommend them. They made our first PCS move a breeze and as stress free as possible."

"I am posting a 2 only because our land lord upgraded our stove. This company is average to terrible. I really did not have a bad experience with the company until it was time to receive my security deposit. I spent days cleaning the apartment…. days. Me and my spouse both agree that the apartment was cleaner when we left than when we entered. We received only a small portion of our deposit due to “dry wall repair, cleaning service, removal of possessions, light bulb.” There was 1 light bulb missing, the removal of possessions was cleaning out the back storage closet which was half full when we entered and we took all possessions when we left except my gifted cast iron set which miraculously disappeared after gulf south hired a cleaning company. As far as the drywall/plumbing repair, the facets were so rusty the pvc broke trying to remove the washer connections…. I have moved 12+ times and never had a problem before. On top of this during the pre exit walk through, i was all but assured i would get my deposit back in full with very small adjustments to be maid and was advised specifically by a company employee that the connectors were not my fault, and they were obviously really old and needed to be replaced. When corresponding with the company, they advised the said employee was mistaken and is no longer employees there. Oh did i mention the fact while moving out they were showing the property literally the day i was moving out…. They are terrible to work with in terms of money and I feel like they only care about the money. Do not expect to get your security deposit back no matter how well you clean, you will even see this in the recent reviews."
