"I am writing to alert others on my experience with the billing department for HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. Upon receiving services from the HCA cutler bay ER, I was informed that paying my total medical bill in full before discharge would result in a discount. However, after making the payment, I later received a bill for $1600 . When I called to dispute this charge, I encountered extremely poor customer service. A representative hung up on my husband during our call. Subsequently, when I called back to speak with a supervisor, I was told that one could not be located, and that I would receive a call back within two business days. When I expressed that this was unacceptable, no resolution was offered for either my complaint about the employee's conduct or my billing dispute. This was a week ago and no call from a supervisor yet. If you look online for Miami ER visit charges HCA is 5-6x the amount of any other facility. I wish I knew this before receiving care. Your automatic message says to contact you directly but no phone number or email address to do so. If you genuinely want to correct an issue please leave your contact information. If you do not then everyone can just assume the issue was not addressed and that they can expect the same lack of care."

"Went to the Emergency room in cutler bay and was given an IV and anti nausea medication. We were there less than an hour. We were told we had a copay and if paid then, we would receive a discount and no additional balance would be owed. We paid the copay on that day. Our insurance was billed over $10k for this visit and we received an additional bill for $1,600. When we called customer service to dispute the bill, the representative we spoke to was rude, talked down to us and hung up on us. We then called back and asked to speak to a supervisor and was told it would be at least two days before a supervisor could speak with us. Despite saying we would remain on hold and wait for the supervisor, we were told we could not hold and that a supervisor could possibly call us back in two days or we could leave a message. $10k for an ER LEVEL 4 visit is outrageous. HCA is 6 times more expensive than any other hospital in the entire city based on research and working in the industry myself. I will never visit another HCA facility again. Please be aware before going to this facility or any other HCA emergency room in Miami. Baptist, UM and Mount Sinai are 1/6 of the price and provide the same if not better care. I am also not the only person that this has happened to. There are many lawsuits against HCA regarding against their extraordinary pricing. I wish I would have known this before going there myself."

"I love this hospital!!!! Everytime I come here it’s a pleasure!!! I get treated like family , with compassion and kindness and most of all respect!! The staff and nurses are amazing!!! Today I had nurse Nicole and she made me laugh !!! She’s was so sweet !!! I felt like I knew her . My doctor was amazing! Dr . Murphy treated me for my eye and made my anxiety calm down as I suffer with bad anxiety. She did an eye exam and was super gentle ! I hope I see them again if and when I come back!"

"Victor and Ray and Noemi and the doctor were amazing in their efficiency, efforts, kindness and knowledge. What a great professional staff and they work together so smoothly. It was a relief to be given proper medical care and treatment. We came in for what we thought would be a brief visit but they properly diagnosed a more serious issue. My husband will need to be admitted to the hospital yet I'm grateful to this staff at this urgent care facility for steering us in the right direction. Thank you so very much for your wonderful care. I know that my husband will be just fine thanks to your immediate care and response."

"genuinely an amazing hospital! recently went there regarding my finger, staff were quick, helpful, and extremely hospitable. the doctor, doctor Leo Ferreti was very clear, concise, and empathetic. We were able to easily understand what was wrong and how it could be fixed. The other staff, Victor, Amber, Christian, and Nicole were also extremely helpful in ensuring that I had an amazing experience. The security guard was also very nice and friendly, would definitely recommend!! :D"
