"I went to donate blood yesterday in winter garden 08/22/24 bus #MO107 took me about an hour to arrive at the location and everybody seemed kinda nice but some how they lost my driver license and after being there for about another hour of looking for it all they had to say was sorry sir there’s nothing we can do for you like really y’all lost my license and you’re telling me there’s nothing you can do and I contacted they’re supervisor the next day and she was even worse her name is Sonji McGregor she wasn’t helpful at all she didn’t seem like she wasn’t trying to get my license back at all and she also tried to say that this wasn’t even there fault likeeee HOWWW so now I have to go spend another $32 to get my license back just because I was trying to donate blood. Usually when I donate I go to the Walmart in Clermont FL they’re always awesome and know what they’re doing but I don’t recommend going to the one in wintergarden at all bus #MO107"
"Today I was at this place to donate blood with my husband. The receptionist was not very interested in us. When she noticed that my husband did not speak English, she told me that if he did not speak English, he could not donate blood because the office did not have anyone who could help him. Her attitude was not pleasant at all and although she gave us the option of coming back the next day where there would supposedly be someone who spoke Spanish, she did not assure us of anything. I have spent hours looking for the supposed buses to donate blood and none of the addresses that the oneblood website gives me that are supposed to be active are there."
"Jessica at OneBlood is an absolute asset to OneBlood! She was very kind, informative and professional. Please take the time to make a blood donation for our community. It is desperately needed to save lives. Your blood gives life to those who would otherwise die. ❤️"
"Contemplating seeking legal advisement in regards to various situations at this facility. I’m usually more patient and understanding but after talking to the center manager and noting her total disregard and lack of empathy for what I experienced I believe higher measures should be taken to ensure another client doesn’t go through what I went through. Firstly a few weeks ago (about 8) I went to one blood on commodity circle to continue with therapeutic phlebotomy. Long story short the young lady who attempted to draw my blood refused to listen when I told her about my veins and had a (I know what I’m doing attitude) that ultimately resulted in her blowing the vein in my right arm moving it around after I told her I have rolling being and exactly how to get it and where my vein is located normally. After the failed attempt she literally dropped the needle still inside my arm and walked away. Leaving it there. Another employee had to come finish. Since then I’ve been to the er for the constant pain shooting through my arm as well as the immediate swelling that took place after which I had to ice. To this day there is still a little bulge in the stick area as well as I still get that shooting pain every now and then out of the blue. Moving forward I return once again for therapeutic phlebotomy and was left sitting in the waiting room over 20mins while they flipped channels and completely disregarded me being there. I was the only one waiting as the facility just opened early that morning. I explained I had worked an overnight shift and can I be taken care of. It was 3 associates and not one of them helped. JOSH just said it’ll be a few more minutes and continue flipping channels on tv. I asked for my paperwork back that my primary care and given me to update and ended up being MISGENDERED by JOSH. WHO HAD BEEN TAKING MY BLOOD FOR THE LAST YEAR DUE TO ME BEING ON TESTOSTERONE. I AM A TRANSMAN AND THIS HAD BEEN THE FACILITY IVE BEEN GOIN TO ALMOST 2 YEARS. SO TO BE MISGENDERED BY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS MY GENDER IDENTITY FELT LIKE A HIT BELOW THE BELT. I PROCEEDED TO ASK WHY WOULD HE REFER TO ME AS MA’AM WHEN HE CAN CLEARLY SEE A FULL BEARD AND MUSTACHE ON MY FACE ? I’m getting emotional just typing this. It’s 2023 - and I believe strongly in accountability. At this point I have medical bills that I want one blood to reimburse for my er visit and pain management after their employee left a needle hanging in my arm and walked off as well as a formal apology from josh and the center itself for not being gender affirming and causing me to express undue emotional distress. No one in my immediate support circle is happy with the mistreatment i recieved. I’m an AFRICAN AMERICAN TRANSGENDER MALE IN 2023 —-don’t you think I go through enough? "
"My first donation went smoothly and shortly after we scheduled a blood drive for my business. OneBlood did not show up after promotions the event for over a month. They stated they had someone call in sick, but never even contacted us to let us know they were cancelling. A second drive was scheduled and promoted and multiple donors were not allowed to donate on the day of the drive because the attendant on site refused to get off her telephone and help donors. November 18th I submitted my therapeutic donation prescription from my physician to the main donation center and was told it would remain in the system for the next year. Ten days ago I began attempting to schedule my monthly donation and I attempted multiple phone numbers and attempted to schedule using the online scheduling system. I learned yesterday that therapeutic donors are not allowed to actually schedule an appointment, rather they just should “show up”. Today I spent an hour in the main donation center with literally no one addressing me to help me donate. One blood has made it significantly more difficult for those with legitimate medical necessity and has demonstrated incompetence every step of the way. Avoid this poorly run company, they will waste your time!"
