Get Up and Go Kayaking - Pine Island

"This tour was my least favorite of the kayaking spots in central/Southwest Florida. The water was mostly clear and we did see manatees, which was amazing. But there was a fair amount of boat traffic and you could hear road noise throughout the tour, which made it less relaxing. Our tour guide, Hannah, was very new and not terribly knowledgeable. She was very nice and took some great pictures but she didn’t know too much about the area or what we were seeing and spent a lot of time on her phone. Overall, I would recommend a different area/tour."

"Amazing tour and great mini workout. Jessica was great and make sure to give us a few tips that made our tour safe for not only myself but for everyone. I have been wanting to do this tour for months now and I’m happy I finally had the time to do so. Water was pretty calm and we saw a few manatees. I went on a Saturday so it was a little more traffic on the water with other people of course but majority of the tour it was just the people on the actual tour because of the route we took. Definitely recommend this tour and this specific tour guide (Jessica) for sure !"

"My husband and I are vacationing in Florida and we were looking for a fun activity to do! We had the pleasure of having Gary as our tour guide and he was simply wonderful. We were actually the only ones on the trip for the day so it was even more special. Gary pointed out many different things along the way, answered any of our questions and gave us an overall great experience!"

"We had an awesome time!! Vinny is a great guide and a cool dude! He centered the trip around our wants/needs and is extremely knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. It is easy to see that he loves his job and is concerned for the betterment of the wildlife! Just BEWARE: YOU HAVE TO PADDLE! If you're looking for a "float trip" this probably isn't what you're looking for. The water is at most 4ft deep and the places that you can get out aren't even knee high. You will have to PADDLE AGAINST THE CURRENT at times which didn't bother us too much, but would have been nice to know. The only complaint we have is that we weren't informed by the company of the instructions I.E. what to bring, what is unacceptable to bring, and where to go. (Other than an address.) We called prior to arrival and got the information but it wasn't freely given. Overall this was a good experience and Vinny did a good job. We wish that the experience would have been better described. Again, it was a great trip, we left satisfied and would do it again!"
