"Horrible service, every time we cosot this store there are associates around lollygagging and goofing off having side conversations with their peers. Finally after sitting in the computer line for more than 20 minutes, a guy walks up and says do you need any help with something. We tell him we're looking for a laptop computer and have an idea if what we want to purchase. He never asked or suggested any other computer over the one we chose. This is the worst Bestbuy, and definitely will not be shopping here again in the future. He was very rude and pushy."
"I’ve had numerous issues with two different TVs, which I recently bought from Best Buy, The first one was replaced. Now the second one has new different issues. They will not make an appointment without my providing the serial number which is on the back of this 75 inch TV. The TV is mounted high on the wall. I need a ladder to access this. I’m 75 years old and in no shape to be climbing a ladder. This is definitely bad customer service and totally unacceptable!!!!! In addition, I am a total Best Buy member, which I pay a significant fee annually to take care of my electronic equipment. That seems to make no difference. I will not buy anything else from Best Buy at this point. If I could give less than the one star, I would!"
"Selling me a computer was the easy part. The guy was extremely helpful and got me what I needed. Don't get me wrong, I luv geeks but the service at the Geek Squad desk is terrible, excluding John who was helpful. The day of my 1st apt, they gave me the paperwork showing my apt, but never scheduled me on their apt book. So I left my old computer & my new computer with them for a week, the length of time they told me it would take to transfer my old operating system to my new one, minus any apps, pictures, or videos. I showed up for my 11:40 apt and waited in line for 40 minutes for them to tell me it wasn't finished yet. John told me it would be done the next evening and to come back. A call would have been great telling me it wasn't done on the day they said it would be. During that time in line, a couple behind me had 2 computers they were waiting to be transferred over as well. They were leaving for Hawaii the next day and could no longer wait beyond the week their computers were in there. The guy went back to get the computers and Hanna, who was working the Geek Squad desk got really rude with the couple, telling them that their computer would be no good if they just unhooked it and they would have to buy a new one. The guy stated that he didn't care, he needed his computers now and she proceeded to scold him in front of everyone telling him that it would not be covered under the warranty if he took them. The guy said he was sure a manager would agree with him because they obviously don't know what they're doing back there to take over a week to transfer the old computer to the new computer. I thought it was very disrespectful of the Hanna to talk to a customer like that who was understandably upset, but still respectful and just wanted his stuff back from them. They definitely lost 2 customers who walked out afterwards. I was also upset that they did not have my old computer operating system transferred over in a week and have to wait another day for them to finish it. I get that they get busy and all, but don't tell us one thing and do another. They obviously need to be more organized and more honest when doing service work and making apts. If they had told me before I purchased this expensive computer that it would take over a week to get it running, I wouldn't have bought it. This is no way making the customers happy. The sale doesn't end the moment we pay. It ends when the customer leaves with what they worked very hard to buy, its up and running as expected, and they are happy. UPDATE: Mohamed & John from the Geek Squad made up for everyone else. They went up and above to get me my computer by the end of the day. Sadly the rest of them involved, from the sales person to Hanna, dropped the ball several times. Mohamed and John came thru like a boss. Thanks to them, I changed my rating because they are AWESOME!"
"I ordered a TV for my brother to be picked up in Texas. I live in Florida. They have a policy that only the person who orders can pick it up. Then I'm trying to explain to a person in India that it's a gift and I'm in Florida, not in Texas. They can't even speak English. There is NO ONE TO HELP and they will Not allow anyone to communicate with the store directly. WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE"
"Never, ever give your credit card to the Geek Squad. You will be signed up for renewals for multiple products You can cancel for years. And they will still continue to charge you. After the fact Even after you cancel ,years later they charge you again. Then tell you you have to wait 7 to 10 business days to get your money back. And if you didn't see the charge And missed a year. Good luck getting that money back. Best Buy should find another company to do business With. I spent $14000 at Best Buy. After 4 years of dealing with geek Squad Canceling the renewal and then still charging me the next year. I don't think i'm going to spend another penny at best buy. Consumer beware Check your accounts if you've done business with this company!"
