"We love camping at Fort De Soto. It has beautiful waterfront and dog-friendly sites with water and 50 amps. A dumpsite is also available on the grounds. Fort De Soto offers stunning turquoise beaches for you and your furry friends. We bring our paddleboards and bikes for extra fun in the sun. There is so much to do here! If you are camping here, we recommend getting your grocery shopping out of the way first, as there are no grocery stores nearby. They have a playground for the little ones, full showers, and bathrooms as well as picnic areas for the whole family."
"A sunset stopover by boat at the most northern tip of Fort DeSoto Beach. Just an amazing view from this awesome beach area. A gorgeous place to hang out for a while. Found my first "whole" sand dollar and then gave it back to the Gulf. Saw a spectacular sunset., too. Must be a very popular place as many were here to catch the last views of the evening. Definitely will come back to this area asap."
"First time here and it is beautiful! The water WOW! Huge parking lot $5.00 for 6 hours! Great pier, bathrooms and a gift shop which also has drinks and ice cream. I can’t wait to go back! No crowds!!"
"Wonderful experience for our family-easy driving and parking access. $5.35 to park with Park Mobile app. Ramp and stairs access to beach which made hauling beach gear easier. It was pretty windy the day we were there but we still had a great time. Soft white sand and easy waves so our youngest family members could play in the water with less stress or safety concerns. Bathrooms, shower station, snack shop, and beautiful seashells all around the area! You should not climb on the ruins of the fort, and people were doing it all day. Park Rangers will come tell you to get off as it’s a historic site and we want it preserved."
