"The house was beautiful and clean. The floors was just uneven, and my dogs couldn’t enjoy themselves it was a lot of sand spurs in the yard. Other than that the property was beautiful will i rent again yes i would. Beautiful home!!"
"Amazing and as advertised! We stayed here for a month and had a great experience! The pictures are exactly as you will find this unit. Quiet, comfortable and great for a long term stay. The full size kitchen, laundry room, and big bathroom were huge bonuses vs some other condos we looked at. Check in was easy. It might be advisable to use the auxiliary lot instead of the parking garage if you visit during peak times and have a truck or large suv but not an issue for us. Great location with the beach right across the street, pier park within walking distance and sharkeys is the place to be for happy hour! Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again!"
"We loved the condo 602. Had plenty of space for our large family. Enjoyed the amenities of the entire resort. Right on the beach. Close to shopping and restaurants. Security and parking were always available for any needs."
"Update: still very unhappy. I see they finally responded to my review yesterday, but still no actual contact from the vacation company directly. I am aware that means the pest control is working but the bugs in the light fixtures is just laziness and one would think you’d go check over the condo before saying it’s ready. Finding a dead bug on the floor after we had been in the condo a few days makes completely sense but not as soon as we arrive. The cleaning staff needs to understand that used dishes are NEVER ok. Seeing someone else’s lip and finger prints, food in the pans, etc is downright disgusting. I spent my valuable vacation time doing dishes before I could even use them. I would go so far as to say our condo hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived it was that bad. Our family has vacationed on SGI for over 35 years and we have always stayed at 300 Ocean Mile condos. The location, convenience, amenities, it’s always great! HOWEVER…this trip for Thanksgiving 2023 was less than desirable. We typically rent through Collins and I found what I thought to be was a great condo through Vacasa, E3. The location was as expected, parking, set up, everything in that aspect was great. But he condo was DIRTY! Not a little like hadn’t been truly cleaned in many months. Every dish I pulled out of the cabinets was used and dirty. Not water spots dirty, like lip and finger print dirty with food still on pans, dirty. The stove top burners on the right side didn’t work, the dishwasher sounded like a jet engine taking off, only one oven rack so I couldn’t make more than one or two things at once depending on size. There were dead bugs (I totally understand that bugs happen and at least they were dead) on the floor when we arrived. The master bed was an old spring mattress that was lumpy, super uncomfortable and saggy. There was mold on the wall behind the door in the second level bathroom, the caulk hadn’t been redone in the master bathroom and was dark with mold/mildew growth. The lights in the master bath are super dim so it is hard to see. The second bedroom with the twin beds had orange stains on the comforter. Nothing was dusted, you could see dust bunnies on the ceiling around the ceiling fan, cobwebs with dust on the walls, hanging from lights, etc. The outdoor shower area works but the hose needs to be replaced. The connection is rusted to the point it sprays you more than your feet. This was by far the oldest looking and dirtiest experience I’ve ever had coming to SGI. I will go back to renting from Collins as this was a very disappointing trip. I felt dirty and uneasy the entire time, you never knew what you were going to find next. The cleaning staff needs training and expectations need to be set, this is unacceptable at any level."
"I am shocked beyond belief. We stayed at a Vacasa property on St. George Island this past summer of 2023. They wrote to us that we were a 5 star guest and could we give them a review. We did, we gave it 8/10 stars with a description of, "The house was perfect to relax and unwind. It was wonderful to have a sharp knife to cook with as well as a fully stocked kitchen. It was a wonderful house." I had never been in the practice of providing reviews, but when I do, I haven't often given a perfect score simply because in most instances, there are always ways to improve, but this was a wonderful house and I thought our review reflected that. Was the house older? Yes. Did the house have a few places where it could have been updated? Yes. But again, every place has the potential for improvement and I mentioned none of the needs for improvement in my review as the house was lovely and none of the items like broken screens and doors that had locks that were rusted or broken did not affect my vacation in the least. I thought my review was completely fair. They indicated that we should reach out to them should we want to rent again in the future and they would provide a 10% discount code. We wrote them back to say that we wanted to stay in the same house again for summer of 2024 and I received a response that they were surprised we wanted to rent from them again when we had given them a less than 5 star review. When I was confused by this, I reached out again to say that I thought my review was a good review, I received the rudest response stating that it would have been better for us to not have left a review than to provide anything less than 10/10 and that they have no interest in renting to someone like me. We treated their home as if it was our own, left it clean, took care to ensure nothing was damaged or out of place when we left. Even cleaned for the cleaners. And because of a misunderstanding on a review, we can no longer rent from them is disheartening to say the least."
