"No statements sent out. Provider changed toxicology screen company without warning, and prices for the same drug screen tests increased by $500. This is a standard drug screen for the required drugs mandated by new Mississippi Law (opiates, benzodiazepines, antidepressants, etc). Something is shady with this company. I have decent BCBS insurance with the State of MS....the drug screens four times a year are 4 times more expensive than my specialist copays. Someone's making (or trying to make) a lot of money of this new law. It shouldn't cost more to screen for drugs than to see a psychiatric NP. And if you drug screens are clean more than twice in order, is it necessary or additional, extensive screenings? What about patients with epilepsy needing low does valium (controlled substance) to control seizures?"
