"Very very dissatisfied. Very bad job from Fort Myers Mr. Mover. I was arranged with Mr. Mover for the morning and they arrived after lunch at 1pm and finished at 6pm. All my furniture was moved to a new house. Second half of our belongings remained in one house and the other, who moved mostly wooden furniture, was destroyed. Every piece of my furniture was scratched. They placed the furniture on concrete. He did not respond to my complaint even though I sent them photos of the damaged furniture and asked them to comment. Of course no answer ! In any case, I do not recommend ! Be being careful who you choose to moving company, I would rather pay more money for quality services, but Mr. Mover of Fr. Myers never again. Good luck for you best choice with moving company."
"We chose Mr. Mover because they had their own climate-controlled storage facility and we needed to store all of our furniture and boxes for one month before we could move into our new home. The guys who moved us did a great job at our homes, but when our belongings were unloaded into storage, then loaded back into the truck for delivery to our new home, care was not taken and several items went missing and almost all of our wood furniture arrived with scrapes, gouges, and scratches. All repairable...not enough damage to file an insurance claim..but there was a lot of damage. Mr. Mover did not offer to have it repaired or offer us any sort of refund for our trouble to get it repaired on our own. They found only one missing item, but only after I had searched the internet trying to replace it and told them it was irreplaceable. I imagine they would be fine for a local one-day move from one place to another, but under no circumstances should you let your belongings out of your sight. It should also be noted that they did not come look at what we were moving, rather gave us an hourly rate "guestimate", which was reasonable, however, even though I told them we had a lot of boxes they were not prepared for our move. They arrived late, filled the truck, and couldn't get it all in. Had to come back the next day to get the rest of it. Fortunately, we had the extra time and our buyers were not moving in the day after we moved out! Also, the estimate turned out to be double, since they charged for everything twice for the two trips."
"This is a follow-up to the previous review below. I spoke to Josh at Mr. Mover regarding the issues I mentioned regarding my move. He listened to everything I said and was very apologetic. He said that my experience was a very rare one. He sincerely wanted to make things right, which he did. There was no argument, nor excuses. I will definitely give them another try because of his great follow-up customer service. When I booked a move of several boxes and about a room and a half of furniture to a new storage facility nearby, they answered the phone immediately and the process was easy. When I called the day they were scheduled to arrive, to check on ETA, I kept getting voicemail. I finally chose the option to schedule a move and of course got a real person immediately, of course. When the truck finally arrived, I knew I was in trouble. The two guys they sent were not dressed professionally at all. I showed them what I had to move and started loading. I watched the them for several minutes and it looked like it might work out. I had other things to do to finish cleaning the house so after about 15 minutes I checked on their progress and noticed that they weren't using moving blankets and basically just putting items in the truck haphazardly. It was only after I asked why they weren't using blankets that they finally did but basically to just throw over items. I found Them texting several times. They had to to reorganize the truck to fit the remaining items which took time. Finally we got to the storage facility. At this point I took over the move in process since they felt a 10x15 wasn't going to hold what I had. I had them bring in all the furniture and had to direct them as to where to put larger items, washer, dryer, large couch, 2 love seat , large chair, etc. Once that was done, I dismissed they so I could pack the rest of my items so they fit. In doing so I discovered that the large coffee table was heavily damaged because it was never packed property in the truck, no tie downs. I managed to get all items in the unit with room to spare. This took three hours, because I sent away and finished the job myself. I would NOT recommend Mr. Mover for any move!"
"Do not hire Mr. Mover under any circumstances!!! I tried to post this on their website, but there is no way to do so; they only post their own positive reviews. They moved my 80 year old mother this week. It took them two days to move a one-bedroom home. They showed up late and when it was dusk, they quit and said they had to come back tomorrow. Perhaps if they had started before 10:30am they might have finished? Now it needs to be mentioned that they get paid for travel, so the travel time was now 4 trips rather than two. The second day they promised to be there at 7:00 and left us waiting until almost 9:00. That is the least of the issues. They broke two items, unloaded most of the boxes in the garage of the new home despite them being well labeled. They refused to disassemble a table and we had to get friends in their 70's to do it, yet charged us for the time. They stole money out of my mother's purse and the best part is that they automatically withdrew $1800 from her debit card (which she used to pay the first installment) without providing her an invoice or any details of the billing. Not good."
"This company is the worst moving company I've ever experienced. Completely unprofessional and not at all upstanding. This company moved my elderly parents and absolutely took advantage of them. They damaged pieces of furniture broke others and damaged the home moving from and moving to. They quoted a price for the move as a 4 hour job when the truck shows up with the two movers, only one of them are able to actually work. The other one claimed to be sick and barely lifted a finger. When they loaded up all the furniture to head to the new home they demanded to be paid for 8 hours worth of work and if not they would take all of my parents belongings to a storage unit until paid. When I called to speak to the manager or owner I was told that they would forward the message and that they were just the middle man. I have yet to hear from anyone to address these problems and or complaints. Bottom line is. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER!!!! I will be sure to tell everyone in Fort Myers to spread the word about this company!"
