"Excellent option to traveling to downtown Baltimore. The staff was very professional and friendly. My provider,Dr David Kim was excellent ,very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. His demeanor was very calming and created a sense of confidence. Clearly, everyone here has the patient 's best interest at heart and you know you are in good hands."
"In the beginning after having to change insurance I was very reluctant to go the doctors. Finally I chose Mercy Glen Burnie. I am so enjoying the professionalism of the staff there and the minute treatment I am given. Thank you for putting my mind at ease. Lucinda Smith"
"Dr. Ayala is the best. He takes his time and explains things to us slowly and in a manner which we can understand. I send him messages with questions about my husband’s condition and he always responds right away. I’m so happy he’s my husband’s cardiologist."
"So I booked my appointment months in advance. Took off work early to be there, and showed up early. I am a single mother, so doing this is a big deal to me... As soon as I get up to the desk I am told to stand there and wait, like I usually am but I figured they're just a busy office. So when the two receptionists do look up and acknowledge my presence, the one with the bright red hair says that I might not be able to be seen today because I don't have a referral on file. Nobody told me I needed to have one. My insurance has been on file for months, and this appointment was a return visit, that the doctor ordered for me the last time I was there . Instead of taking my pcp's phone number and doing her job, the woman said that I needed to call and ask for the referral while I was standing in the lobby and my appointment time was about to start. She said that nobody had told me to handle it until now because they don't look at insurance until the patient is standing in front of them. I work in a medical setting and know for a fact it should at least be looked at the morning of... and not the responsibility of the patient. Then she had the nerve to ask me if I was feeling okay and if I can just call my primary cares billing office and get a referral on the way then we'd be "good to go." I'm sure we would have! I told her to cancel my appointment and that I was going home. Someone should tell you if there is a problem with your insurance BEFORE the appointment. Not during. And don't ask me to do your job for you!?"
"Dr. Ayala is AWESOME! Whenever my mom is in another hospital, I love that he is able to give feedback quickly. He is very responsive to his My Chart messages. Dr. Ayala is the only Dr I know who is willing to use his lunch break to see a pt if necessary."
