"Adam Garling and his staff are great!! They make annual screenings quick, easy and noninvasive. I will definitely continue my annual exams with the Dermatology Affiliates."
"The appointment was on time. The doctor was courteous and to the point. He listened to my concerns and took good care of me. I was in and out in 30 minutes. I recommend him for any of your skin concerns."
"Do not go to this dermatologist. I'm not really sure how there are so many good reviews. On my first visit, Dr. Garling came in the room, shook my hand, then literally stood as far across the room from me as he could while leaning against a counter and within 2 minutes told me what he was going to prescribe. He never once looked at my acne closer, never asked about medical history (I'd previously been on accutane for a year) or acne history, and didn't ask if I was taking any other meds. He also looked at the floor the whole time he was talking. After I told him my acne was also on my back and chest and showed him, he said, "Oh, then take 2 pills a day" and prescribed a retinol cream for my face. I was not impressed and I had planned on not going back, but I had a really horrible perioral dermatitis rash break out on my face and wasn't able to get in with a new dermatologist anytime soon. He tried to tell me it was acne before taking a closer look. He prescribed antibiotics, but didn't tell me what to expect after taking them (how long the rash would take to clear up, etc.) and I didn't think to ask until after I left. Luckily I have an appointment with a new dermatologist soon. Every appointment I've had with him has been less than 10 minutes. Last appointment was 5. Save yourself frustration and do not go here."
"This is the first medical appointment I’ve had to cancel because of a lack of accessibility and being too afraid for my health and safety to attempt a ramp- so I can’t speak to any of their dermatology services, because I couldn’t safely get into the building. There was NO mention of a steep ramp regardless of whether you’re going up or down. The ramp is NOT compliant with ADA Minimum Standards for Accessibility. There are big gaps and cracks in both the ramps up & down, along with a 5°-9° grade. The ADA has been around for 34 years, and it’s past time that medical providers take note in order to ensure their medical practices and clinics are accessible to all. Should have seen the red flag when my new patient appointment started at 4:50 and the office closes at 5. Guarantee this clinic would’ve tried the $160-$200 charge/bill for a 5 min appointment with me had I not canceled due to their lack of accessibility."
"Stay away from this doctor! I had an appointment with Dr Garling to talk about skin issues. The appointment was at 10:30 am he let me into his office at 10:50 and made me wait extra minutes until he finished other paperwork. Whenever I explained any skin issue I had all he did was just prescribe medication without asking me if I was taking any other medications, about my medical history, or what could have been the causes for my acne (lifestyle, diet, skincare products) NONE OF THAT. All he did was prescribe expensive medication without any type of information from my behalf. The total appointment ended up being 5 minutes because before 11 I was already out of the office. Weeks later I get a bill in the mail for $200. FOR A 5 MINUTE APPOINTMENT. As a full time college student I feel totally scammed, I have no means to pay for this insanity, and now I have a medical bill that is the same as my monthly car payment. It must feel nice being a doctor and charging people $200 for minutes of your time. All those years of schooling apparently do nothing."
