"The service was decent, the food tasted good but was incredibly overpriced, even for Seattle prices. It's a fun spot, great place to hang out. It's always packed with people- which is good, we love to see local businesses doing well, but they absolutely crank up the music so loud in this joint. I love a vibe, I love good music in a cafe, but people kept talking louder to hear each other and it felt like they kept turning the music up, and people just got louder."
"Great spot! Free parking in garage just around the corner or street has paid parking. Had an orange cardamom wellness drink (caffeine free). Atmosphere was great, open to outdoor seating, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Can't beat the view; faces Green Lake Park. Recommended."
"Retreat used to be my go-to weekly coffee shop to work from. While the vibe and atmosphere are still lovely, the food quality has significantly gone down. Not to add the increasing prices. I got the chicken bowl and added rice, and the chicken was bland and had so many fatty pieces that I had to throw away. The potatoes were still hard, and the amount of pesto was a fraction of what it used to be. For ~$20 it is just not worth it anymore. It hurts my local heart to have my go to favorite meals no longer exist."
"While I love the atmosphere of Retreat, I was disappointed with my food experience. I decided on the avocado toast and was excited to try it. When I got it however I literally thought they forgot to give me my entire order. The toast was so small. The toast was good but I couldn’t believe the portions for $12.00. It was about $2.00 plus tax and tip per bites. Yikes. I’ll stick with my Mr. West avocado toast."
"Great brunch place with tasty options for sandwiches and bowls. They have pretty good coffee as well! I really recommend the chicken sandwich, I got it in a bagel (not listed on the menu) with pesto and avocado. Dogs are not allowed but it's filled with (service) dogs. I love dogs and don't mind at all, just find it funny."
