"Oschcola has been open about four months and is located on Airport at Montlimar, in the Yesler Oaks shopping center. This restaurant suggests their food is home cooking. And they’re right about that! It’s great to walk through and see all of the food lined up. You are able to choose what you want not just by what you feel like eating, but by what looks good to you as well. To be able to choose an entrée, three sides and cornbread for $14 is a good deal, especially when the food is hot and tasty. The server was friendly and genuinely seem to care that you were happy with your food. The atmosphere of Oschcola is fairly simple but not unpleasant. During my visit, I chose the baked chicken, lima beans and black-eyed peas, I only wanted two sides. While I was thinking about that, the server brought out a great big cast-iron skillet full of homemade cornbread. All was plentiful, all was hot, and all was tasty. YES, I would visit again."
"Oschcola's home cooking provides a delightful contrast to the world of fast food, offering a more wholesome and personalized meal. I had the pleasure of enjoying a meal that was nothing short of extraordinary: roasted chicken paired with collard greens, black eyed peas and lima beans. The chicken was perfectly roasted, boasting a golden-brown, crispy skin that gave way to succulent, flavorful meat. The collard greens were equally impressive. They were tender yet retained just the right amount of bite, offering a wonderful contrast to the rich chicken. Lastly, the lima beans were an unexpected delight. Often overlooked, these beans were cooked to perfection, maintaining their shape and texture while absorbing the aromatic seasonings. They provided a creamy, hearty complement to the meal, rounding out the plate with a satisfying, earthy flavor. Oschcola's Restaurant is serving comfort food that feels like a warm hug on a plate."
"Staff was nice and restaurant was cleaning. My only issue was the food. My baked chicken was half cooked, mashed potatoes box, and cornbread had white ( unknown) item and corn. I was never informed corn bread was not plain. Food had entirely too much pepper on it."
"This place has home cooking down to a science. The food is delicious , not as good as my mom but kinda close. The service is friendly and helpful, they take the time to explained everything. The location is pretty easy to get to which is a plus at that location. I will definitely go there again as well as recommend it to family and friends."
