"She tried to give me a medicine I would have to take for the rest of my life. I said "Can I do anything holistic instead?", and she said "You can go to a holistic doctor!" First of all, if a doctor refuses to learn about any type of healing, they are not fully educating themselves on treating a patient. Not everything has to be fixed with meds. Secondly, the problem turned out to be a symptom of a bigger issue, as I suspected, and never had to take any pills.
