"First time of ever going there and the grave yard."
"Interesting history, glad they were able to preserve it."
"Definitely a piece of History."
"I first visited this site in elementary school when I was a young boy. Over the years, it was hidden away in overgrowth and sat in disrepair. Knowing that I was unable to save it on my own, I sought help by talking with members of the local historical society, and it was them, who made the moves and had it restored. This jail was one of two. Yes, two jails. The other one, was a lot smaller. I was told, it was built out of precision blocks, or stucco. There were two jails built during segregated times. The other jail was close by to this one. Nothing remains of it though. Probably some rubble or something, but no standing structure from it. There was also a town hall that stood in front of this jail. After the town was abolished by a house bill from the state Senate, the building was used as a voting and polling center. It was also used as a clinic as I heard. It was a wooden structure in the shape of a (U)."
"Nice piece of history. Love how it remains untouched."
