"I never really do any of these review things, but after reading the above review, I feel compelled as someone who has had a loved one at this facility for the past 8 years and my own child for going on 2 years to give a proper idea of how Bellview Baptist is operated within normal circumstances. There is some truth to the above statement in reguards to Mrs. Dixie, yes she is and was a vital part of Bellview Baptist, kind of like everyones Grandma. It is sad that she has left and for a little bit there was a shift of positions and responsibilities. Her retirement was a bit unexpected, and left everyone scrambling a bit to reconfigure the staff. I feel they did a great job in "rolling with the punches" and getting things back to normal after her retirement. As I stated before, I have had a loved one here, in their care for the past 8 years. Ever since my niece was 6 weeks old, she has attended Bellview Baptist. Now, let me be VERY clear of my own personality and expectations. I am extremely critical of ANYONE who is trusted to care for my family, and my own child. I will voice my opinion very quickly and if I feel things aren't how they need to be, I let it be known. I have NEVER, and I mean NEVER had an issue with anyone that holds employment here at Bellview Baptist. Now, have I at times dealt with an attitude, or an exhausted Teacher who has been chasing kids around all day who just didn't want to listen and be absolute pills that day (mine included), yes I have. But, that is completely normal. These women are caring for our precious children, day in and day out. Not just your child, but 10 others as well. I understand them sometimes not being on their A-game, personality wise. As for making such rude comments that were stated in the above review.... In the 8 years they have been entrusted with my flesh and blood, I have NOT one time ever heard anything disrespectful be talked about or directed to a parent. Let me state, in the 8 years I have ALSO never witnessed classroom doors being closed and cops beings called to ensure the safety of the staff, while an irate parent is in the staffs face. MY CHILD was there when this happened. The staff handled this appropriately and called the police to protect everyone involved. So if we are going to tell a story, lets include the entire story! Personally, my son has been victim of the children who bite, punch, pull him down and basically beat on him. He is a big boy and could take care of himself, but I choose to raise my son to not return the physical abuse, especially when most of the time it is a girl that is doing this to him. It has angered me to pick him up and get an incident report that he, again had been "assaulted" by a friend at school. I don't pay for him to get beat on at school, but I trust the process and know that the staff there are always on top of things like this and it gets taken care of. There have been a couple times where he doesn't listen that day or doesn't share or sees the ones who are being physical and I get a note home for that as well. The one time he hit a girl in his class, I quickly took care of that at home and surprisingly have not had an issue since. I have always had a great experience here. To know the staff is to love them. They each have their own personality and their own way of doing things, but all come together as a whole and it just works out beautifully. Bellview Baptist Childcare is a place of warmth, love and kindness. The women who selflessly choose to come in everyday and care for our children are full of compassion, knowledge, energy and passion for our babies. My son loves it here and rarely is ready to leave, I will and have recommended this facility to anyone who needs a place to take their children and be able to go to work and not worry if they are being taken care of."
