"This little cove is magical. Especially if you can get it all to yourself for an overnight. Battery Slemmer itself isn’t much to see, or at least I couldn’t find much more than some concrete slabs."
"Historical landmark to visit. Not easy to access but very interesting to see and discover. We got there by coastal boat service with a group. Not a lot there to see but what is left is impressive."
"Nothing there. You may see a bird or a crab. The parking lot was more exciting. Total disappointment"
"Great place to beach the boat and go on an adventure with family. Bring a flashlight and be careful, it’s not maintained and is somewhat dangerous inside."
"Really really very fun and secluded! You have to get there by boat, so that makes for much less tourists to wade through. Very little of the man made structures exist today but don't get me wrong there is still plenty left to see! The old gun emplacements are still viewable as well as some concrete wall. Great hiking! Great swimming! And great exploring!"
