"Had a little difficulty finding a car because the website lists many vehicles that are apparently not ready for sale yet, or are no longer available. So had to filter through the catalogue quite a bit to find something. But, after finding one finally, the buying experience was painless. The price was reasonable so no need to go back and forth with a sales manager. Jesse, my salesman, was pleasant and helpful and Nicole took care of the payment side of things well. No pressure on the service plans, just informed and left to make the decision on your own. Spent maybe an hour at the dealership. Can't complain. Note for buyers: there is a $999 dealership fee, so be ready for that on top of your tax/title/reg etc."

"I had an overall good experience at Hertz Car Sales, although it took longer than expected. Sales rep Ron Maccia helped me find the best car at the best price. I ended up getting a 2023 XC40 Recharge Twin Ultimate with a little over 6000 miles at half the price of a new car. Lot attendant Carmen successfully searched for the car in the back lot. Finance associate Nicole efficiently completed the necessary paperwork. I was lowballed on my trade, so I chose to sell at the nearby CarMax instead for over 3x the offer. "Listen: I am not easily impressed but I have to say this is hands down the best vehicle buying experience I have ever had. I first came to Hertz Car Sales Clearwater to purchase a car for my daughter. I was treated in such an amazing way that I came back twice after that to buy two additional vehicles. So yes. I bought three vehicles from them, which is crazy but so worth it to me. I would really like to give a big shoutout to Mike, Nicole, Felicity and Jennifer for their outstanding kindness and professionalism and for making each time such a pleasurable and memorable experience."

"I purchased a Tesla Model 3 from Hertz Car Sales Clearwater three months ago. While the overall quality of the car has been very good, my experience with Hertz Car Sales has been far from satisfactory. First, the salesperson seemed to lack basic knowledge about the car, which was quite frustrating considering the significant purchase. Essentially, I knew more about the car than the salesperson did. Second, the paperwork process was incredibly slow, taking a tedious 3.5 hours. The most troubling issue, however, has been the delay in receiving my permanent license plate. My temporary tag has been expired for over a month now, and despite multiple follow-ups, there has been no sense of urgency from customer service to resolve this matter. The customer service has been sub-par, to say the least, and every time I do get through to them, they deflect responsibility to "corporate" Based on my experience, I doubt that Hertz will take any meaningful action to address my concerns. I expect a generic response like you see in the other reviews, "We are sorry to hear about your experience. We will be sure to pass along your concerns to local management for review. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and providing us with this feedback." Overall, the quality of the car doesn't make up for the poor service and lack of responsiveness, but I still need the license plate issue resolved."
