Reviews
"Reasonably priced old motel right in Cooperstown. 5 or 10 min walking distance to everything. Modest and clean with parking, frig, coffee, microwave. Bathrooms need renovation and carpets in rooms should be replaced with flooring."
"Retired 66 year old NYPD officer. Just wanted to go on his childhood dream vacation to the baseball Hall of Fame. I made a reservation to stay at the Mohican hotel from August 5th to August 7th 2024. I ended up getting sick on the day of the trip . I called the following day to see if I could get a refund or take the trip at another time without being charged again. When I called, the person who answered the phone was the hotel manager. Her name was celest. I explained my circumstances to her and she was rude and did say inappropriate things to me. Important things do happen at the last minute, like an accident or somebody getting sick. When I said to Celest, would I still be charged if I was in a plane crash, her response was “well, if you were in a plane crash, you wouldn’t have to pay anyway.” I have been looking forward to this trip my whole life. I just wanted to go on a 3 day trip with my wife to a place I have always wanted to go. If that’s asking too much, then I am sorry I wrote this whole review. P.S. when I asked the manager (Celest) why she kept the money, she told me there were no refunds, and that’s the way it is. When I asked if anybody was above her to discuss this matter, her answer was no. I can’t honestly rate the Mohican hotel. I can only give it a rating from the conversation I had with the manager on the phone."
"Cute cozy little spot. Within walking distance hall of fame. Clean and well kept. Only downside, the Wi-Fi wasn’t very strong so my service was a little spotty. Other than that 10/10 would recommend."
"I was there over Labor Day weekend 2023. Room very small. AC worked. Mini fridge and very small microwave. Coffee maker. Bathroom nice size. Bed very uncomfortable. They need to upgrade bed and give more pillows. TV with remote. For the price not bad. No bugs. Everything worked. Quiet and close to everything. My only recommendation would be to provide a more comfortable bed and give at least 4 pillows."
"You think 4 stars... no way. Let me explain. Service was 5 star. The room was cleaned every day, and the bed was made. Towels are soft and fluffy, not like those rough hard towels from a major chain. The rainfall shower head was a nice touch. The location is perfect, 3 minutes to HOF (and Cooperstown Diner), and 10 minutes from the Dreams Park. It's a motel. Yes, the room had a musty smell and box fans were airing them out when I arrived. That pesky bathroom door kept rubbing on the carpet (It didn't really bother me. I just thought it was funny I was in that room). It was exactly what I needed and would stay again."
