Reviews
"This was our first time to Cooperstown and we loved the Railroad Inn. It was conveniently located and had a quaint vibe. The rooms were spacious, clean and staff was very nice. They offer a snack bar which is open 24 hours. I typically do not post reviews but this place deserves a 5 star and we would definitely stay here again!"
"We absolutely love this cute little hotel! It was near the downtown area and Hall of Fame. And a quick drive to Dreams Park where our grandson had a tournament. The nicest touch for us was the snack bar open 24 hours a day, where we could get coffee, bagels, muffins, yogurt, fruit, cereal, etc. And the people at the front desk were so personable, they made us feel like we were at home."
"What a lovely find, within walking distance of Baseball Hall of Fame and Main Street in Cooperstown! We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed the location, our room, and the overall vibe of the hotel. Our room was clean and appeared to be recently modernized. There is a breakfast area with an assortment of food to have in the morning, along with coffee and tea. The front patio has several tables that were nice to sit at during breakfast as well as for enjoying drinks and conversation in the evening. Since it is a couple of streets away from the busier section of town, it was quiet without any bother. We recommend The Railroad Inn for anybody looking to stay within walking distance in Cooperstown."
"This is a quaint, lovely little hotel. The location is amazing, walking distance to whatever you need. Staff were so nice and made me feel at home. Love the snacks in the lobby, as well as being able to use the washer and dryer whenever I needed it. The porch is lovely as well. Bedding is nice, the bed was comfy. Overall a great place to stay. A few cons/suggestions…the lighting in my room was super dim and would be great to change out those bulbs. Hard to see especially with that wonderful upstate NY overcast that happens so often. Not a lot of light coming in from outside either with the one small window I had in my room. Despite Coop being a small town and the Inn being off the main drag, there was quite a bit of truck noise outside my window. Not the most private feeling being in the middle of the first floor either. I could hear everything the family in the adjoining room next to me was saying, and the noise of everyone walking by in the hall. Probably fine if you are a heavy sleeper, but I’m not so everything woke me up."
"Easiest review ever. This was a wonderful hotel with a great staff, perfect location and a nice spread of food, snacks and drinks laid out 24/7. Now, for the truly beautiful part of our experience. The morning we were to leave my wife was very ill. The staff couldn't be more helpful and supportive, At 1st they said we could stay as long as we needed. When my wife's condition worsened and I needed to take her to the hospital the woman at the front desk came to the room to inform me that the owners invited us to stay an extra night at no charge. My wife and I were so touched and even at this writing I get choked up at their incredible warmth and kindness. My wife's condition improved and we were able to leave the next day. All hotels are clearly not just a business. The Railroad Hotel were caring people, a family. It is without hesitation that I can highly recommend this beautiful gem to anyone passing through Cooperstown. Rick Siegel"
