"This is a good value hotel for technically being in NYC. When I booked, this was the cheapest nightly rate in all of NYC! That being said, it’s not glamorous, the location isn’t anything fancy and the low price tag does attract some less than desirable clientele. I had a very smooth check in process, found my room easily and everything was very clean. One of the first things I noticed though, was that the noise from the hallway echos incredibly loud and could be heard clearly in my room. Due to the echoing issue, I was woken up several times by slamming doors in the hallway, people shouting and banging on doors, one woman was going around knocking on her groups doors at 6 in the morning. She was very loud and inconsiderate. Then, she had a “panic attack” and was escorted out by stretcher and ambulance. The group she was with didn’t seem totally sane — hence my comment of the very cheap price tag attracting less than ideal clientele. For one night, this place was fine. Made it through a-ok. The hotel staff were friendly and nice too - don’t want to fault them for the crazy lady in the hallway. For more than one night stay, I’d consider a different place."
"Confortable but to much sound at night. I was near to the emergency stairs and listen when someone open, close, talk... and sound like a vacuum at the middle of the night... one and once again... you can listen to much sound."
"The day shift staff were the friendliest. We had problems from the start. The night clerk had an attitude because I asked the nightly fee my mother was paying. Our room phone did NOT wk and after several phone calls to the front, we just received an apology but no fixing of the problem. The bathroom we had was handicapped and as SOON as the water is turned on, the floor floods- and staff will not give you more towels to clean it up- because each rm has a quota of linen. The breakfast selection is laughable. Bring your own breakfast. And even worse- NO parking. You can park in front M-Sa but move your car by 7 a.m., except Sun. The ice machine has a dirty towel in front of it because the ice always shoots to the floor. This is a huge fall hazard, because my mother stumbled over towel. Bathroom fixtures are cheap as well."
"This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The customer service at the desk was immediately the weirdest I’ve ever seen. And then our reservation was cancelled for no good reason. The employee the the desk was paranoid and possibly on drugs. He lied to us about there being no manager when we asked because he walked up a few minutes later. The manager was also unhelpful about the situation. It caused us to cancel our plans for the day because we had to scramble to find another option which was on the other side of the island. I’ve never seen anything like it. Also, although they canceled the reservation, they didn’t refund my money and i eventually had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. There is no number to contact the hotel either. I can’t express enough to not waste your time booking a room here."
"Really great, especially for the price! The room was clean, comfortable. The staff was amazing!! The sweetest people! I would definitely stay here again. Also, the parking situation is fine. Street parking only. You will probably have to park a couple blocks away, but it is no problem."
