"Buying a Co-op is not as easy as it looks, please choose a Realtor who is a Co-op specialist. Just because you get approved for a certain amount by your mortgage broker that doesn't mean the Co-op board will approve you. I found this out the hard way..You have to have a debt to income ratio of 20%. Check this before looking.
