Reviews
"An incredibly beautiful oasis year round for the public with special events and guided trail walks for members. Animals and plants in this unique area found no where else."
"Pretty, but... I was skeptical about the tick complaints from another reviewer, but we parked, walked in on one of the smaller trails for a max of 10 mins and realized that our legs were covered with ticks. We turned around and walked out and picked ticks both big and small off ourselves for the rest of the day. I'd estimate without exaggerating that we removed 100 ticks from four people (under clothes, in socks, etc.). All to say, looked nice, but I wouldn't go back unless I was totally prepared."
"DO NOT HIKE OR WALK HERE. Left absolutely covered in ticks, hundreds of ticks on everyone. There should have been a sign that this trail was so infested. We did not leave the trail and walked along the path the whole time, and still, got in the car, absolutely covered. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT WALK HERE!!!!! Be safe!"
"This is a wonderful preserve in the heart of the island. It has lots of wildlife, trees, ponds, and walking trails for anyone to enjoy. Especially nice in the off season when there’s less people/traffic, or when it cools off and the leaves are changing color and falling."
"Picnic......coffee and a good book......awake your inner Whitman or Thoreau. A nice quiet natural sanctuary. ."
