"Spent an amazing morning at SOFO with my 4 & 6 y/o grandsons. Exhibits were great but what really made the experience outstanding were the staff. They knew their stuff and were excited to share their knowledge with us all. The touch tank was a hit with my 6 y/o who got to hold a spider crab. The 4y/o was thrilled to be able to touch almost everything else, including the opossum! Outdoor areas were closed due to icy conditions so we will definitely be going back!"
"Great place. Guides are professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. Super place to bring young people; but also good for any age! Has a very nice gift shop. Highly recommend!!!"
"Cool place... stumbled on it trying to go to the Children's Museum across the street w/o a reservation. This place was small, but had a lot of cool things. I think there may have been more outside in warmer weather..? I took my 8 year old with me and he was entertained. I wish it were bigger, but the staff there was excellent (at least one woman) and helped us understand, narrated all the exhibits, and let us hold a few of the animals (small insects, crab, snake)."
"We had the BEST time visiting! We went on a Friday afternoon and we were the only people there. The staff was absolutely incredible. Theyβre so friendly and knowledgeable. Most of all, theyβre really great with kids. The man who showed us around downstairs was just wonderful. He taught my daughter so much and explained it all in a very kid friendly way. He was so patient and really took his time with us. We had a great visit and canβt wait to go back!"
"A very nice museum with exhibits on the area's natural (nature) history. Informative with live animals and a touch tank of starfish, hermit crabs, etc. During nice weather you can even take a nature trail walk on the premises. My little ones enjoyed their time there."
