"Late October of 2013 Brown electric quoted me an insanely low price for complete new 200 amp service and removal of old 80 amp service and 50 amp fuse panel - in just a few hours i had a full 200 amp service from a new pole (FCC issues) new meter/box and a brand new breaker panel with 20 breakers, hard wired smoke/CO detectors and new grounding system. they even added a 50 amp 220v circuit for a future AC and standby generator upgrade - and told me to call when the standby unit was installed and they would install the Backup switching panel for an equally low price. its the first time a company came in and did EXACTLY what the contract said - for the price ($1200 all parts and labor included) they did all that and even obtained the permits and other mechanical drawings etc. the most detailed invoice ive seen in decades of house flipping At the same time i had the house vinyl sided and complete new roof, trim, gutters etc...While i did have an issue with multiple screw holes in the siding due to the electricians re-mounting the new service line and box a few inches over from the old system - thus leaving about a dozen holes in 1 day old siding, (literally 4 inches further over) and was given the "we had to mount it where it fit" excuse (which was total B.S - it would fit fine) that was simply and easily remedied. so the question is, would i call Brown again? I have several times for some commercial jobs- I cannot recommend a better outfit in WNY - especially in the Niagara County cities where the inspectors are power hungry idiots. The crew was meticulous and coordinated with National Grid (a HUGE issue) to ensure my service wasnt interrupted for more than a few minutes as i have Mail and Web Servers running 24x7 and the UPS's (Power bank battery backups) only last for under an hour. my power was off at 1:20pm and back on at 1:26pm - done! excellent outfit 5 stars"
