Welcome to Stony Brook Community Church (SBCC), a welcoming place of worship located at 216 Christian Avenue, Stony Brook, New York. Our mission is to connect people to God, purpose, and each other, creating a community of love, learning, and outreach for individuals and families doing God’s work together.

At SBCC, we embrace diversity and inclusivity, offering a warm welcome to everyone, regardless of their background or beliefs. Whether you're single, married, divorced, gay, wealthy, struggling, or exploring different faiths, you'll find a place here. We welcome all ages, from newborns to seniors, and everyone in between, including artists, students, parents, and those in recovery. Whether you’re a devout churchgoer or haven’t attended since childhood, you belong here.

Our congregation is a mix of individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact through prayer and service. We strive to bring about change in the world and in our community, guided by our love for God and one another. Join us for our in-person coffee hour and fellowship every Sunday following the service, where you can connect with others in a supportive environment.

SBCC is committed to being a beacon of hope and love, especially during challenging times. We stand in solidarity with those affected by conflict and strive to promote peace and justice worldwide. Our prayers extend to those suffering from violence, and we seek to inspire leaders to choose reconciliation over conflict.

We also host special events and collaborative worship services, such as our union with Port Jefferson First UMC. Our doors are open to everyone, from tourists and seekers to doubters and those seeking solace.
