"Called about a problem I was having. They arrived in about half an hour. The gentleman was very courteous. He did not leave until the problem was identified, and luckily it was minor and fixed before he left."

"These clowns literally closed our account and was set to terminate our service because "Someone called trying to start a service at that address so the previous account was closed." Zero verification required by the account holder (me) and zero notice to the account holder. So...someone gives the wrong address and they will shut your service off!!!"

"Called the day before to get my power turned on, and despite telling them on the customer service line that I'd be at work between certain times, they showed up while I was at work. Tried getting ahold of them afterward after gaining access to where they needed to get to and was sent immediately to voice mail and all my food in my fridge spoiled over night because if them. Which has officially earned them only 1 star for for me since it wouldn't let me choose 0 since after I leave this place I will never be doing business with them again."

"Just bought a house. They wasted no time turning off the electricity and gas. I called to have it put in my name and turned on. They scheduled me for the following day. No biggie because it's around 34 degrees. Well, I came home, and there's a note saying I need to turn off the main breaker before they could turn it on. No phone call asking if anyone was home, and they didn't tell me this when I called to have it turned on. I called again. The first available is a week out. I have to get a generator now and a salamander so my pipes don't freeze. If the tech would've just called, I would have told them there was someone home, and they could've turned off the main breaker. I hate this company."

"National grid, you guys are a bunch of crooks...You're electricity company is the only one here "in the north country" and you are charing an arm and a leg for service, how does it cost more to "deliver" electricity then what we even use. You are up charging more than half, and yet you think that's fine?I live in a community that contracted you shouldnt the service be billed to the management office or that company. I mean, that's how a business works, isn't it?"
