"This is a somewhat new area. This Roundabout with the flag was built about 5-8yrs ago when they extended Shorefront down to Bch60thst. From this point down to 60th from the Bch to Rockaway Beach Blvd. had been pretty much sand, over grown weeds, trees and a few building along the Blvd. Oh, and the old Blvd sloped towards the train until 69th when it it had an s turn! This whole area has been rebuilt since 2000."
