"Let’s first start with my sign up process. The person who helped me was great. She was helpful. Everything went smoothly, no issues. The issues started when 3-4 months after I signed up for my unit during one of their promo , I get an email stating my storage unit price was going up. So apparently signing all the paper work does give you the price for the time you’re there. They can raise it at any time. Which , had I been told, I’d have kept looking or prepaid for my time there. I called customer service to inquire on why this was happening and so soon after I got the unit. I was told they would have someone contact me in 48 to 72 hrs. I still haven’t had a call from anyone. The unit price jumped $40! I paid it for 3 months more as I was moving and would just take my things. I moved this past Saturday and couldn’t fit everything in my uhaul. Since I had to do one more day of work in ny I decided I’d get the rest to avoid another months bill. I had to come back to New York today. Today is July 2nd and I’m paid up for up to July 16. I get out of work at 5:30 and made it to queens at 6:30 and to the nail 15 mins before close. The gates weren’t working, it said only works until 6:30 even tho they close at 7. The same person who signed me up was there and she let me in. Same thing happened with the elevator. Wouldn’t let me in said closed as of 6:30. Again I needed to be let up. I rushed and brought it all down in on trip and loaded what I could into my friends car and waited for him to return for me and the other few items. When I asked earlier if I had to physically be here to cancel I was told yes. While I was waiting for my friends return I called customer service and they canceled the unit for me. This location closes too early. It’s not for working people. Makes no sense. And the price jump is outrageous. Not even a 5 or 10$ increase but 40! And will continue to rise whenever they choose. Never would I ever again. And I’d never recommend them. The persons I’ve interacted with at this location have all been very nice. This review does not reflect their service but the company itself. Stick to your prices and if price increases must happen do so moderately not drastically. Also it should be more convenient to access your items at the times you’re free."

"I’ve legitimately came across two different people in two separate occasions in this storage unit , coming out of their units from the top and the other one in a bottom unexpectedly as if they were on a look out. The first occasion was in the first floor where a short bald man is always near a mobile staircase and his top unit, the second occasion was someone in the bottom unit however when i looked over it was empty and someone they had cleared it out or knew that was empty however this establishment struck a cord when i saw a man peaking his head out , out of his own unit. It just doesn’t feel safe. I’m really not sure what’s happening here, but I’ll have to look into a new and secure storage unit… this unit is susceptible and it’ll be too late to recover any losses."

"I’ve had the most amazing experience at this specific CubeSmart facility (186-02 Jamaica). Tito keeps the place so clean. I saw ZERO bugs, pests, etc. It always smells nice and the front desk staff (Lynese and JJ) are always so friendly and kind! I’m moving out of state and I’d fully recommend this location! It’s my second storage experience as I’d definitely recommend the temperature controlled 5 x 7.5 units. Thank y’all!!!"
