"Location is convenient, just a block away from subway station, the office is on 2nd floor of loft building. Don’t get confused like I did, walk up the ramp and go inside lobby to elevators. Process was fast spent about 30-40 mins. Workers are mostly Asian decent but the worker I got was very nice and made sure I was comfortable, and have everything I need while collecting benefits. Just an FYI post some business signs outside building!!"
"As a first timer navigating the unemployment services, this has been a confusing and daunting process with very little guidance. The phone line is often a minimum of a 40 minute wait if you can get on the waiting queue. The office is helpful for getting someone to talk to right away, you will still have to call, but they have a special line for more immediate assistance. Would highly recommend going to this office in person if you are struggling with not getting help from calling. The building is a bit tricky to find, it is in what looks like a residential condo lobby and you will see many signs leading up to it indicating that it is not the entrance. My experience with each person in person and on the phone has been very mixed, some want to get me off the phone as fast as possible. Others are more patient and encourage me to ask as many questions as I have while they have me. I’m sure everyone is overworked and that offices are understaffed. With job resources, I met with a woman named Alison who was incredibly kind and helpful. She treated me with respect and reminded me to remember that I always have value, it was very nice of her to say given the hard year I’ve had and I really appreciated how she was so compassionate."
"People are really nice. Don't have to wait too long for appointments."
"I got a letter in the mail from department of labor saying that I have a mandatory appointment to this location. I arrive and the front staff was very nice and fast with service. I met with Ming Chen she was amazing!!! Treated me with respect and was super kind, I was scared because most places you go to treat you like you are a bum who doesn’t wanna works but Ming Chen was very kind and definitely made me feel comfortable gave me awesome advice and motivated me to find work. So if you get her take advantage because she cares a lot and is there to help you."
"Easy to work with....once you get a hold of them. I called them 10times over the course of 2 days, once with a voicemail to return my call and nothing. When I finally got to speak to someone in the phone they were the rudest person I could come across over the phone. The lady wouldn't even let me ask a question without interrupting me."
