"Super cool venue in the middle of a neighborhood!! Came here for the first time to see Fred again and I was blown away by my experience. It's an open venue so be prepared. It's best to commute by train if you're coming to this venue. If you plan to drive you can find plenty of parking around the neighborhood but it takes time to find. The train would be the easiest and it's barely a walk to the venue. I didn't know this when I bought tickets but there is a bowl section, which is the upper level. Seats are first come first serve in the bowl section. And then there's the general admission, which is just a big open floor by the stage."
"Went to see Arctic Monkeys in September. Great food and drink options. There isn’t really a bad seat in the entire place. My only gripe is the limited exit staircases if you’re in the seated area, way too many people trying to get down safely."
"My son and I attended a Lord Huron concert at this outdoor venue. I really enjoyed the facility. We had good seats but because of the tennis stadium bones, the view probably wasn't as good as the general admission floor. Oh well, it was a great show on a beautiful night, hard to complain! Getting the train back to the city was fun after the show as well, we took it to Penn Station which is another cool experience to do."
"Best outdoor music venue in NY. I live on Long Island, and I've always loved concerts at Jones Beach - but the sound at Jones sucks. When I saw my first concert here in summer 2022, I knew it'd be my new favorite outdoor venue. Great location with train stations within 2-blocks walking distance, easy entry/exit, and great food and drink options. But the sound!!! The sound is incredible, as it was built to host tennis events. Think about how that bowl-like structure amplifies sneaker screeches and ball bounces, and then think of your favorite band playing to you seated anywhere in the stadium. Incredible. I went to 3 shows this summer (2023) and thinking about closing it out with Jungle on Sept 30th, just to savor this venue!"
"Saw Queens of the Stone Age for my first time at Forest Hills Stadium. It's a very cool place to explore. The place is packed with history and just has a really cool vibe to it. There's a ton of different food options and places scattered throughout to have a drink. I particularly liked the Gray Whale Gin deck for a cocktail before the show. The suites are all speakeasy themed, but unless you have a suite ticket, you can't really check them out. It would be cool if they had one or two for the public. Bathrooms were clean, and there were enough where you didn't have a long line to wait in. Had general admission for the show, and the floor was easily accessible. The audio sounded great, and overall, it was a great show. Will definitely be checking the lineup for Forest Hills Stadium for a return in, hopefully, the not so distant future."
