"I grew up on this street, and we used to play there all the time. I later learned they tried to sell the site to put up houses, and that is why the city decided to designate it as an old Indian burial, even though they could not find a single shred of evidence that it is a cemetery (there was even an article in newspapers saying that nothing was found on the lot). It is overgrown with trees, and I wish someone would take care of the sidewalk."
"I used to live n 181st street in 1970s-1980s growing up which was around the corner from this lot. We were told this lot was an indian burial ground. It was always overgrown with trees and weeds as far as i remember. I didnt know it was called brinckerhoff cemetery."
"I grew up on 187 st and Union Turnpike, had a friend who lived a couple of houses down from the cemetry and thought that it was an Indian burial ground. We played there. Walter H. Klaus"
