About the Business

Welcome to the New York City Council District 25 Office, located at 37-32 75th Street, 1st Floor, Jackson Heights, Queens, NY 11372. Serving the vibrant and diverse communities of Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, East Elmhurst, and Woodside, our office is dedicated to addressing the needs and concerns of our local residents.
Under the leadership of Council Member Shekar Krishnan, the first Indian-American elected to the NYC Council, we are committed to championing social, racial, and immigrant justice. Council Member Krishnan is also the Chair of the Council’s Committee on Parks and Recreation, where he has successfully negotiated the highest budget for NYC Parks, prioritizing access to green spaces as a vital component of community well-being.
Our district is home to many essential workers and immigrants who have been pillars of strength during challenging times. We are actively engaged in initiatives that support our most vulnerable populations, including advocating for the rights of taxi workers, securing resources for Elmhurst Hospital, promoting housing as a human right, ending solitary confinement at Rikers Island, and expanding public spaces.
Our office is a proud supporter of the 34th Avenue Open Street, a model pedestrian space in Jackson Heights that exemplifies the potential of open streets across New York City.
We invite you to visit us during our office hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM. You can reach us by phone at 718-803-6373 or by fax at 718-803-9832. Additionally, Council Members have offices at New York City Hall and 250 Broadway, ensuring accessibility across the city.
Together, we strive to build a more inclusive, equitable, and vibrant community for all residents of District 25.
Reviews
"Suddenly you have to make an appointment to speak to anyone in the office???? There used to be a human being behind the window in the lobby. You want to be able to talk to someone there about things that don't require an appointment, or there is no real representation anymore"
"Went to them 3 times in the last 2-3 years for help with my situation. You would think they notice"
"I met Mr Daniel Dromm, 3 years ago at a certificate award ceremony for ESL and Quickbook Classes and found him to be extremely friendly and courteous. I thought for a moment, well he's a politician and this kind of behavior is just part of their protocol but I was wrong. He is a genuine person, who has the tenacity to make things better and love working with the people surrounding him. Above all, he was a teacher and he knows how to respect teachers. Keep working for us and it's not far to see you as one of the US Presidential Candidates. Long Live Daniel and the extra M in your name truly indicates that it means Majestic......"
