About the Business

Welcome to the NYC Council Member Francisco Moya's District Office! Located at 106-01 Corona Avenue in Queens, New York, our office is dedicated to serving the vibrant communities of Astoria (North)-Ditmars-Steinway, Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst, North Corona, Elmhurst, Corona, Rego Park, Flushing-Willets Point, LaGuardia Airport, and Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
Council Member Francisco Moya proudly represents the 21st Council District, which includes East Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, LeFrak City, and his hometown of Corona. Elected to the Council in 2017, Francisco Moya made history in 2010 as the first Ecuadorian-American elected to public office in the United States when he joined the 39th Assembly District.
A lifelong resident of Corona, Francisco Moya began his community activism at the age of 15 by founding the Corona Gardens Neighborhood Association. His dedication to community improvement led him to pursue higher education, earning a degree from St. John’s University and an MPA from Baruch College’s Urban Fellow program. His career includes working for Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez and Congressman Brad Sherman in Washington, D.C., and serving as Secretary to the Senate for Senate Minority Leader David A. Paterson, becoming the highest-ranking Latino in state government at the time.
As an Assembly member, Francisco Moya ardently advocated for working-class families, focusing on legislation to protect union rights, enhance workplace safety, and safeguard worker protections. He is recognized for passing critical legislation to prevent employment agencies from exploiting low-income families.
Our district office is committed to addressing the needs and concerns of our constituents. We are here to assist you and work together to enhance the quality of life in our community. Visit us at our local office in Queens or our office at 250 Broadway in New York City Hall. We look forward to serving you!
Reviews
"I came here for the Tax Assistance Program (TAP) by an appointment. Rosario was very patient with me and helped me file my taxes. Everyone else in the office was very respectful and kind."
"I have been dealing with this office to help me and my Special Needs adult have been without food stamps for over 3months. They keep informing me that theyre taking care of it but!! Nothing is happening... so sad..."
"I have called council member Francisco Moya's office over 10 times the past year and I am always told he will call me back to hear my concerns and also receive an email. I have yet to hear back from him in any way. This council member does not care about his constituents and is getting paid for nothing. Just stealing our taxes to pay his salary and he does absolutely nothing. From what I've heard he doesn't even live in the district he is representing and instead lives in an expensive apartment in LIC. This guy is a fraud just stealing from the people."
"Francisco Moya's team, especially TaQuoia and Bernice, is professional and helpful."
"This is a great place to be at! Friendly staff, knowledgeable people, and an overall relaxed atmosphere! If you call or schedule an appointment, you can get lots of things done, like receive help for SNAP, housing applications, and immigration services!"
