"I am beyond disappointed with this bank ! BEWARE folks !!!! I had a joint account with my mother who recently passed away. Right after she passed away and I informed the bank of her passing, the bank bounced numerous checks without any warning, even though it is a full fledged joint account. They claimed I would have to close the joint account and open another account in my name only. A joint account means joint ownership of the account. No other bank does this !!! This is not standard protocol for joint accounts As if this were not bad enough, they also bounced another check several months ago and admitted they were wrong. But that was after many headaches and phone calls. Bottom line this bank is incompetent and has arcane rules that make it a nightmare to deal with. This is unfortunate because the tellers are mostly very friendly, so I don't blame them, but there is no excuse for the management. I am now transferring to Chase bank. I thought a local small bank would be better than a big corporate bank... boy was I wrong in this case ! I learned my lesson but beware people I would not wish anyone the headache of dealing with this bank."

They are warm-hearted, thorough, professional, responsive, and can do things no other bank can do! With a phone call, or email, from anywhere in the world, I can arrange to have a friend make a deposit for me and handle the wide-variety and unusual things that tend to come up while working over seas. Warm, friendly, attentive, FAMILY! It is like we 'rise together'! Having a great banker on your side is a necessity to running a successful business! This bank goes well above and beyond what any other bank will do for me! Perhaps if I were a multi-million dollar client, I might qualify for some high-end boutique privileges at one of the large pubically traded banking conglomerates. But I'm a sole business owner of a start up company. And for family banking, and small business banking, I don't think you will find a better bank anywhere! I have had many bank accounts over the years, all the way back to the 1960's - My experience at Flushing Bank tops them all! I am not endowed with a great deal of eloquence. Even if I had the skill, I do not believe I could adequately describe the full measure of my appreciation for Flushing Bank!"
