"I attempted to open an account online and was advised to go to a branch for assistance. This was the 3rd one I went to and was made to feel like a criminal. I was told that the bank has every right to refuse opening an account and it could be my spending habits that caused BofA to refuse. Now the problem is that nobody was able to tell me WHY! I was asking for a why so I can fix the issue but due to corporate policy they can not tell me. It is sad that I had to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to get the attention of BofAs Regulatory Complaint Department. They were able to see what was causing the issue and resolve it for me. Why do I have to complain to a higher authority to find out what the problem is when you are right there? With the way jobs can be sent anywhere I would think that people would do everything in their power to show they are an asset rather than just another salary to pay. Don't be like the employees at this branch."
