"I hit that 1 star only because I wasn’t able to make review without doing so. This bank is racist which means it’s trash. I am worth 1.5mil and that was verified through their app site using my property values. I’m currently on the down side of 2 mortgages. My credit score is on the high fair side and my loan repayment history history is a documented 100% with all 3 credit bureaus. My self employment tax returns 1120 & 1040 evidence well over $100,000 per year business & pers income. Can someone please tell me why these bumbs are requesting I find a co-signer??? I’m a Black Man who lives and supports his Black community here in the most expensive city to live in America Jersey City NJ"

"I've been very happy with Sofi so far, after using their services for nearly four years. Their personal loan rate was the lowest a couple years ago among all the lenders that I checked; the new saving account has an amazing 4.6% rate and the direct deposit came in 5 days earlier than BOA (with ~0% interest rate), which I set up simultaneously for comparison!"

"SoFi lacks customer support, and their privacy practices are awful. It is extremely difficult to get in touch with an actual person. If you do call, the number of information about yourself you have to give out is ridiculous. If I've given out my full name, last 4 #s of my social, my phone number, my date of birth, why do I also need to provide my home address? On the poor privacy side of things, if you want to complete an outgoing transfer such as a wire transfer from your account, you receive multiple calls throughout the day from unknown numbers from people who only provide their first name and say they're from SoFi and nothing else, then they ask you to provide them with once again your full name, last 4 #s of your social, your phone number, date of birth, and your home address.... If you try to ask what they're calling about, they refuse to tell you. Somehow you're supposed to feel reassured because they're "doing this for your security"."

"Deposited money, set up direct deposit and then the froze my account. Customer service is sold out to another country and they read a script and don't tell you why your account is froze or give you a timeline on when it will be unfrozen, they literally can't give you any details nor can you ask questions to help them unfreeze your account. I would be happy to provide information to move things along. Once it is unfroze we will most certainly be moving our money."
