"staple of my childhood in fresh meadows. i can't wait to have my own children and bring them here."
"Very peaceful playground you can bring your kids trees surrounded peaceful playground"
"Cool park with plenty of shade from trees for parents wanting to stay out of the sun. Has a public bathroom for men and women, two water fountains and a water sprinkler the kids can play in. Right behind the park are the Cunningham Park mountain bike trails and a baseball field. Plenty of parking on 73rd Avenue."
"School in session and no one in the park but a few seniors. My two year old didn't notice a thing. She had a great time all by herself. The slides are designed with little ones in mind. Three different sizes built so little one can practice climbing stairs. My little one was so impressed she can climb up the stairs and slide down the sliding board or by herself. The safety nets under all of the play toys was nice and thick. The park was equipped with the sprinkler with baby and middle-sized swings. There were nice, clean open bathroom. I'm Looking forward to returning on the weekend as we was there on a Friday morning to see how many kids will be out there and how well do they interact with each other. All in all it's a great place. I think you will enjoy bringing your children there. I give it a five stars."
"Second playground I visited is 210th street playground. It is in Cunningham Park, Queens. It is a traditional playground with swings, slides and climbing equipment. All the equipment is permanently set on the ground. There is solid surface area with space for games. The playground does not provide play equipment such as balls, jump ropes etc. Children needs to bring their own equipment. There is equipment available for active play. Such as: slides, swings and climbing structures. The playground has room for several types of large muscle movements and exercises. It is surround by grass area for children to chase and create an organized play. There aren’t any sand, water, stage or garden area for dramatic and creative play. There are multiple play areas in this playground. All the areas have easy access and encourages children to play. The playground promotes creativity to even though the equipment is only for large muscle movements. Children adapt to those equipment and come up with their own creative play. There are spaces for social activities and room for group plays. Equipment is challenging for children and at the same time is it made for both younger and older children to use. There are no safety issues in the playground. There is no broken glass, sharp edges, dangerous equipment. There is shock-absorbing material under the climbing and moving equipment. There are safety fences around the climbing structures, slides and swings and as well as from the road. This playground has shades and benches nearby for parents or caregivers to sit and keep an eye on the children. This is overall a good playground. Only downside is that most of the space are used for other portions of Cunningham park rather than the children’s playground. It is relatively small playground compare to the size of the Cunningham park."
